	Welcome to Prince of Peace's Technology Lab. The plans for this year are to practice our keyboarding skills for the first quarter and then put that skill to use learning new ones. Grades 2-4 have been reviewing since the beginning of this year the parts of the computer and terms which we use to get our tasks completed. Next week, the week of October 13th, we will be testing on those terms. I have sent home a sheet with the terms and parts on them and you can also review them here (you will need a PDF reader like Adobe Reader to see it). Grades Kindergarten through Second Grade are working with Kid Pix to learn how to manipulate the mouse, and also become familiar with the various computer terms and parts. The hardest thing your First Grader has had to learn is to log onto the network. They became very frustrated with this concept but has mastered it already. If you need any help, please email me. Home	I just want to give a special thanks to some wonderful Families who have helped us wire our lab. The Lopez, Carroll, and David & Pam Evette Families all contributed in large ways to helping us save a LOT of bucks to have the lab and library wired with ethernet. The wireless connection was having problems with the 27 computers. Thank you also to Mike McGrady who ran the wire under the portable and Jamie Pearson who ran wire from the school building to the portable and donated extra wire. We are truley blessed here at POPCS.
